Created with hands and weapons
I have been creating my art with hands and weapons since 2023.
A sword delicately spreads paint on canvas.
The tips of a morning star dig broad lines into thick layers of acrylic.
And again and again, my hands intervene directly in the color process:
Connecting surfaces with broad hand strokes or differentiating with fingertips.
Overcome functionality!
Weapons have a clear function. They were created to kill.
Our hands have the power to transform through creative acts.
Human actions on this earth have brought us to a critical point:
The functional view of resources and existing structures has let us pursue the destruction of our common livelihoods.
We need new approaches. Everywhere.
With my art, I give the impulse to actively overcome functionality. I bring colourful creations with weapons to life.
I call for existing things to be creatively removed from destructive contexts, to be repurposed and to create free spaces for the creation of a lively and healthy world in respectful coexistence.
